MY STORY

My mother got her American citizenship when I was in elementary school. Growing up with an immigrant mother and American father meant my life was a bit different than the rest of my classmates. We traveled internationally. I fell in love with different cultures.

During this time, I passionately recorded moments. It began with Polaroids. Then, I graduated to a Nikon camera and video. I excelled in debate and mock trial. When I attended college,  my passion for video and speaking naturally brought me to broadcast journalism.

I began my television career the summer after college at a news station in Kentucky. I was a one women band. I scheduled, shot, edited and fronted my stories every evening on live television. It was a tough job, but it was then I began to fully understand the importance of each person.

As I covered stories and met different people everyday, I realized the value of each human. My ability to understand people has aided me establishing strong relationships. I currently work as the production manager at the Christian Television Network.

I am driven to continue to refine my marketing, sales and communication skillset. I enjoy learning more about computer programs.

Personally, I recently traveled to India. I serve at the Nashville Rescue Mission. My heart is to serve people and use the talents I have to best serve a strong company.

Hard News Stories Aired on WBKO in Kentucky

I heard about a puppy dragged through country roads in Kentucky. When I shot the first story, I know no idea support would come from literally around the world. Malachi, the miracle puppy, survived and hopefully helped bring light to animal rights laws.

I was assigned to do a 'cold weather' story. After driving around, I met a family living in their car. They bravely shared their story with me- and within a week, they had jobs and a place to live.

There is no love like that of a mother for her child. Tina Glasscock had waited 8 long months for her son to return home from serving overseas. When I captured the moment she saw him step off his military bus, I knew it was special.  The video aired on ABC nighlty news.

I was assigned to do a story on the Spring season.  I had fun..

After a strong storm, teens touring a cave found themselves trapped in flooding waters. It's a story that had the potential to be tragic.
